Bournemouth, 14-04-18 (H) PL

No rest for the wicked for me, as far as i can see we have no knew injuries from the city game so i'd like to see our strongest team start, have to keep the momentum going and we still need to nail down a top4 finish. same team as against city with maybe Hendo coming in for wijnaldum.

                                                  Karius

                             Arnold    Lovren   VVD   Robertson

                               Chamberlain   Hendo   Milner

                                 Salah     Firmino    Mane

I think Klopp may make some changes but why, this team is doing fantastic right now, it's been 3-4 days since the city game so they've had plenty of rest, keep the momentum going, keep the winning mentality and nothing can stop us, best of luck RedMen.

  • It was a great game and credit to Bournemouth for giving us a hard attacking game and we got the three points. Great header from Kane to make it 2-0 and a fantastic assist by him to Bobby to seal the game for us. 2 More wins and we will claim a top four place for next season's CL.
  • 3 goals from the front 3 and 3 points. Good result and CL is allmost in the bag. If we can do well against Roma top players will won't think too hard to sign for LFC but Klopp has a system of turning good players to better. Dontt really have to buy talent under Klopp. I have to give him that, its a gift he has,
  • Delighted Klopp has put a very strong team out, only a handful of games left this season so barring injuries this team should be able to play them all.
  • I agree with switching Milner for Wijnaldum. On this particular European cup run Milner has been an unexpectedly important player and I wouldn't take any unnecessary risks with him from this point on, plus it wouldn't do Wijnaldum any harm to get a bit more playing time. Given the injury situation, the rest of the team pretty much picks itself.
  • I would play Clyne to give young Trent a rest after his superb performance against City but I didn't notice Clyne in the training pictures yesterday and wonder if he is injured again? I'd also be tempted to give Milner a rest and play Wijnaldum but Klopp will know best who needs a rest and who doesn't.
    • I agree that 4 games in a week and a half would be a stretch for Milner so yeah, Wijnaldum to start and he's been playing well lately so no problem there.
    • Just read Clyne and Klavan are out. We need to win this one and West Brom next week-end which would make a top 4 finish almost certain before taking on Roma.
      • Badly need to win it which is why i put our strongest team out imo, we have to secure that top4 finish as we simply can't rely on winning the CL.
        • Firmino a doubt with a kneck muscle strain may give him a rest and ings a go

"I'm inclined to go along with Warrior`s reasoning. Think we need 6 points to be assured of CL so let's get first 3 in the bag. Also seems iike Salah is foaming at the bit to score more goals and break more records so he will play. Don't have much fa…"

"I agree we should play a strong team. With Chelsea winning at Burnley last night we haven't yet clinched a top 4 spot which is as important if not more so than progressing in the CL. Joe Gomez is back in training so I would be tempted to start him a…"

I'm not sure whether the job of Liverpool kit designer is the easiest or hardest in the world. On the one hand you just have to pick a shade of red and add a few lines here and there, but on the other hand it must be hard coming up with something ne…

This game is killing me trying to 2nd guess what team Klopp might put out. For me we play our strongest 11 available, try and get the game won within an hour and then rest some players in preperation for our semi final on tuesday night. I think we n…

Uncle commented on Uncle's blog post Had our defenders really been that bad?
"Yes, I think you're right about the midfield. Earlier in the season there were times when the back line was left exposed because the players ahead of them weren't making interceptions, tackles or slowing the rate at which the ball came back at the d…"

"What's quite alarming is that Matip has only 57 aerial battes won vs Lovren's 90!  Errors leading to goals makes me a bit skeptical because I think Lovren was culpable for at least 3 (Spurs, Everton and Utd although Trent did get rinsed by Rashford)…"

The Liverpool defence is a funny thing. Depending on who you talk to it is either a 'clown car', as one Spurs supporting historian keeps calling it, or a juggernaut that's slowly building momentum. Many of us are still undecided because it's difficu…
