Why Going To Anfield Was Wrong

I have felt elation and frustration in equal measure since Liverpool finally crossed the line and became Premier League champions. The elation comes with the fact Liverpool are currently the Champions League, World Club Cup, Super Cup and Premier League champions. With a list like that it's hard to argue that, at this moment in time, Liverpool must be considered the best in their field. More than that, though, Liverpool have the strongest first eleven that I can remember and while it can be sugg

BBC Sport's Awards Day

Looks like Liverpool FC has dominated the BBC Awards for 2019-20 Season and it seems just about right with the winners and PL XI team but Bruno Fernandes was a very strange addition into that team and they were other possible selected chosen nominees. I feel that Milner should have gotten a place in the XI team but we got seven players on the list and Henderson has been incredible this season.

Premier League Manager
Jurgen Klopp

PL Player of the Season
Jordan Henderson

PL Young Player

Neil Critchley leaves Liverpool U23s role

Liverpool can confirm U23s coach Neil Critchley has left the club to take up the position of head coach at Blackpool.

After six-and-a-half years of outstanding service within the Reds’ Academy set-up, the 41-year-old departs to begin a role with the first team at the League One side.

Critchley moved to Merseyside in September 2013 to take the reins of the U18s before progressing to the U23s ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

He also took charge of the first team for two games this season as he oversaw

Carra Interviews Michael Owen

Much like interviews with Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard have done this Micheal Owen interview puts to bed some of the LFC-related rumours connected to the retired player. Unlike with the previous two players I came away from this interview with limited sympathy for Owen, mainly because he is/was so confident in his own ability he skirts the boundary of arrogance at times. Having said that, it's hard to argue fate dealt him a cruel hand by making him one of the best players of his generation

New Bob Paisley Statue

It's always been a bit puzzling to me that Bill Shankly had been given a statue at Anfield and Bob Paisley hadn't, after all they're the two sides of the same Liverpool coin, so to speak. Shankly built the foundations upon which Paisley created his empire and so to celebrate one without celebrating the other is to acknowledge only half the story. This has now been rectified with the unveiling of a new statue of Bob Paisley. It is based on the incident when Paisley was still the physio for the te

Firminio's Disallowed Goal

This video technology worked perfectly at the World Cup 2018 in Russia and it has done very well at last season’s champion’s league. It appears that the PL or FA has major issues with the decisions with many goals from the games this season for being disallowed. Andy Gray does make sense with his thoughts.

Andy Gray
"When they first calibrate it, and they do it and 'oh, wait a minute, he's still onside, let's do it again". "They do it again, and lo and behold, it comes up that he's offside in the

3648826498?profile=RESIZE_710xAdam Lallana was only on the pitch for about three minutes against Leicester City but the trail of anarchy he left in his wake during that time is quite remarkable, as explained...

Adam Lallana may only have entered the contest in the 92nd minute, shortly before Sadio Mané was awarded a penalty after being felled in the box by Marc Albrighton, but the 31-year-old midfielder made certain to stamp his mark on the game.

As soon as James Milner coolly stroked the penalty past Kasper Schm

Maybe I Am Dreaming by Jurgen Klopp

This is an article by Jurgen Klopp that has just been published on the website 'The Players' Tribune' (

Maybe I Am Dreaming by Jurgen Klopp

I have to start with a slightly embarrassing story. Because sometimes I am afraid that the outside world looks at footballers and managers like we’re Gods or something. As a Christian, I believe in only one God, and I can assure you that God has nothing to do with football. The truth

Does this explain Mane's reaction?

This handy little diagram shows the chances created by each of the front three players for the other front three players in the Premier League since the start of the 2017-18 season. What's noticeable is that Mane's chance creation for Salah is getting on towards double the number of chances Salah's created for Mane. Is Mane aware of this difference? We'll probably never know but it might help explain why Mane might feel the relationship between the two forwards is slightly lopsided at present. I

The Road To Istanbul 2019-20

The Group stages draw has been kind to us for this season’s UEFA Champions league. We share the same group E with Napoli, Salzburg and Genk. The plus side is the geographical locations of Italy, Austria and Belgium so flight distances are closer to home.

Bonus is that Alisson won best keeper award and VVD won best defender of last season’s UEFA Champions League. Also VVD won UEFA UEFA's Men's Player of the Year for 2018-19.

Get Involved

Hello all,

I just wanted to ask if anyone would like to get involved with running and promoting the site. You've all played your part keeping things going last season for which I'm really grateful. I don't have much time these days but I'd like to get involved more here and try and bring the site back to it's former glory, it'd be good to do that as a team. If anyone would like help on an admin basis by adding features, designing the site, running Twitter, promoting the site or anything else ple
